1. Is TWV just for disadvantaged kids and families?

No, TWV is for all students 14 year's and older. Two Wheel View offers
biking programs for young people from all economic and social backgrounds.
The mission of TWV is to educate young people on the environment and local
culture of N. America and abroad through their participation on bicycle
expeditions. TWV is for any student 14 years and older. If you can't afford
it, we will help you fundraise and also find local sponsorship for your
participation.

2. I'd like to go but I don't have time to fundraise for my trip.

Most participants fundraise some if not all of the cost of their trip.
However, if you or your family has the money, you can be a "self-funder" and
just pay for the trip.

3. WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM FEE?

-All logistics and trip planning.

-Use of mountain bike touring equipment, camping gear, panniers.

-All Hotels, lodging and camp ground fees.

-All meals.

-Ground transportation in Argentina.

-Project and volunteer communication materials.

-Tour mechanic and guide.

-AIRFARE IS NOT INCLUDED in the Program Fee. Historically airfare costs
have been between US$750 and US$1,200 depending on your departure point.
Some participants use Air Miles or other Frequent Flyer awards. Contact Rick
at rick.mcferrin at twowheelview.org for details.

4. DO I HAVE TO BE FROM MINNESOTA OR CALGARY?

Absolutely not! TWV recruits students from across the United States and
Canada. Over the past four years, participants have come from Arizona,
Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, California, British
Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

5. I LIKE TO RIDE MY BIKE BUT I HAVE NEVER BEEN ON A BIKE TRIP.

Perfect! TWV bike trips are designed for students that have never or rarely
traveled by bicycle. In 2004 a young girl from Wisconsin came on a trip to
Argentina. Before the trip, the furthest she had ever ridden a bicycle was
5-miles. If you are physically active and enjoy trying new things, a bike
trip is a great way to spend a few weeks this summer.

6. MY BIKE IS OLD AND I DON'T HAVE A TENT OR CAMPING GEAR.

TWV provides all the gear you need - bike, panniers, tents, camping
equipment etc.. and if you need it, we even have sleeping bags, rain gear
and outerwear for you to use - all sponsored by Mountain Hardwear. All you
really have to do is pack your clothes and be ready to go on an adventure of
a lifetime.

7. HOW DO I GET FROM MY HOME TO ARGENTINA?

TWV will help coordinate all of your travel plans from your departure point
to the destination. We work closely with several travel agents and have
years of experience getting students to Argentina and safely home after the
trip.

8. MY PARENTS ARE ALWAYS WORRIED ABOUT SAFETY.

Safety is our top priority. Two Wheel View staff commonly includes
Wilderness First Responders, EMTs, Wilderness EMTs, Life Guards, and staff
with Red Cross First Aid and CPR training. We have designed comprehensive
Emergency Response Plans specific to the destinations we travel. TWV is
approved and insured through the Berkely Agency Travel Agents and Tour
Operators Professional Liability Insurance Program.
